Here is the finalised 28mm General Lasalle figure as mentioned in my previous post.

Hi all
Another whinge, I am halfway through painting my Piano French Old Guard Grenadiers and thought I would paint the General Lasalle at the same time to add variety.
It was going pretty well until it came to doing the hussar braiding using Vallejo gold. What a nightmare, my old eyes couldn't follow the casting lines nor see the tip of the size O brush I was using. So I have to admit defeat on the fine detail and just accept I am not good enough to do the figure justice. it is so deeply frustrating.
Here is what the figure should look like (from Piano Wargames website, such an excellent job by Stephan Huber). I will post photos of mine when it is finished.
I thought I should add my figure as it is about 90% finished to the best I can.
It has been a VERY long six months, I started these Piano Wargames figures in December 2025 but life dealt a curveball and they had to be put on hold until April.
I really wanted to do my best as the castings by Lucas Luber are, simply, supurb so I painted the figures mostly, one at a time which also made the project longer. My intention was to try to make each figure an 'individual'. This brings my Bavarian army to completion (I am running out of storage room).
I used these images as my colour guide for the facings etc:

I hope I can do justice to them.
All the best to all... Chris
Hi
Sorry I haven't been active but late last year my wife expreienced a traumatic injury which has led to other health issues. As you will appreciate, this has been the priority and looks like staying that way for a couple of months. Hopefully, I will be back to painting the wonderful new Baden figures from Piano Wargames by the middle of the year.
Keep well.
Chris
